The tortoiseshell inlaid display case with elaborate bronze ornamentation and figurative finial. Cast front with 25-piece enamel cartouches, Roman numerals, Arabic minute track and blued iron hands, one cartouche signed CARANDA A PARIS. Large spindle movement with 8-day running time, signed Caranda à Paris, with half-hour striking on bell and thread suspension of the pendulum. Damages due to age. Restorations, smaller losses, no guarantee of functionality.
