Loquats by a Rock. Hanging scroll, ink and colors on paper. Inscription and signature by the artist: “Painted in the style of Wu Changshuo (1844-1927) by old He.” One seal of the artist: „Wang He”. One collector’s seal: “Bote” (Poetter).

Wang He was from Wuxi in Jiangsu province. He taught Chinese painting at the Academy of Art in Wuxi and was known for his paintings of Buddhist figures, landscapes and birds and flowers.
