A BIDRI-WARE DISH AND A METAL BOTTLE

Description:

North-India, ca. 19th ct.
D. 16,5 cm/ H. 27,5 cm
The dish with raised rim, the inside decorated in niello with a design of scrolling tendrils around a medallion and showing a flower-head in the centre; and the bottle placed on a stand-ring with a bulbous-shaped body terminating into the mouth and decorated with vertical ribs consisting of geometric motifs.

Minor wear, the vase slightly chipped at the rim and soldered base
