South-India, Nayak period, ca. 18th c.H. 15 cm
Vishnu is seated in lalitasana on the lotus base placed on a pedestal with the Garuda bird to its front, his four arms radiating around his body, the upper hands holding cakra and shankha, one is embracing Lakshmi who is holding the lotus, wearing dhoti respectively sari, bejewelled, their faces displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes, their heads topped with the kiritamakuta and a seven headed snake canopy above.
