Standing in pratyalidhasana on a separate cast base formed of various divinities and animals reclining on the lotus base, his multiple arms radiating around his body, his principle ones embracing his consort, the hands holding originally the karttrika and kapala, the other hands showing the prescribed gestures and attributes, naked apart from an apron, mala of severed heads, bejewelled, his head consisting of nine different faces set around and above the central bull-head, displaying a wrathful expression with bulging eyes below bushy eyebrows, snout, open mouth, a pair of pricked ears and curved horns and flaming hairdo, his partner holding karttrika and kapala and a large flaming halo behind, traces of cold-gilding.
From an old German private collection, assembled between the 1960s and 1995 - Minor wear, partly slightly chipped
