The flat, lobed sides have a four-leaf cross-section and rest on four slightly curved, elongated, iron-red decorated feet. The interior of the tablet, presumably used for the tea ceremony, is decorated with four lotus blossoms around a central blossom next to tendril work, all details in shades of shaded pink, blue and green on a mint green ground, the base has an iron red six-character seal in a white field in the centre, finely carved wooden stands.
From a North German merchant family, collected in China between 1911 and 1928.
