Polychrome gouache. Depiction of Sultana Chand Bibi (1550 - 1600), also known as Chand Khatun or Chand Sultana, regent of Bijapur (1580-90) and regent of Ahmadnagar (1596-99). Here the famous regent and warrior is depicted riding on horseback, her white horse. Two small bird figures probably symbolise the hunting falcon and its prey.
