Description:
Tibet, 19th c.D. 34 cm
On the apex of the hat is an appliqué of silver, with the symbol of the holy water vase (kalasha). A large coral ball is placed on the opening of the vase, and above it is a small cut amethyst in a setting. The symbol of the Kalasha is said to give the wearer a long life. Silk, fringes of silk.
