Description:
Burma, Madalay period, early 19th c.H. 43 cm
Seated in vajrasana on a lotus base placed on a stepped pedestal, his right hand lowered in bhumisparshamudra while the left is resting on his lap, wearing uttarasangha and samghati, the latter with a section draped over his left shoulder, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyed below arched eyebrows, smiling lips, elongated earlobes and his curled hairdo continuing into the ushnisha topped with a lotus bud, the lower base incised with an inscription.
