Description:

South-India, late 19th c.

The rectangular shrine with a pair of hinged doors, each decorated with a four-armed Shiva placed within an arched temple frame, the insides of the doors with several rectangular cartouches, each with one or more divinities, the shrine itself with a temple compound depicting various scenes, including two forms of Bhairava and the reverse of the shrine with rows of flowers.
