Painted copy after the famous block printed book "Haikai sanjûrokkasen" (The 36 immortal haiku poets) with 36 drawings and poems by Yosa Buson, published in 1799 on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Buson's death. The preface and Buson's "signature" at the beginning of the illustrations are missing, but the seal Shunsei and the date Kansei 11 (1799) are present. Ink and light colours on paper. Unmounted, title label painted on the outside: Haikai sanjûrokkasen maki.
