Calligraphy. Two lines of poetry: "There is no sound of people, the sound is among the trees", from "Autumn Sounds" by Ouyang Xiu from the Song period. Two seals, the first: ...soku Manri .... Ink on paper. Mounted as a hanging scroll. Possibly Banri Kokan (?-1777), priest of the Sôtô school of Zen Buddhism (Moog, p. 23).
