Tibet, ca. 19th c.H. 24,1 cm
The slightly tapering cylindrical body decorated with square cartouches separated from each other by horizontal and vertical gilt-metal bands encompassing each a foliate-shaped plaque set with precious stones while continuing into the shaped mouth section ornamented with scrolling tendrils encircling various plaques, the curving spout issued by a makara-head and the handle in the shape of a mythological animal.
German private collection, assembled before 2007 - Traces of age, stone inlays partly lost
