The sturdly-potted baluster body rises from a projecting foot to a short, straight neck with slightly projecting rim, painted all around in bright cobalt blue with four fish swimming in a pond amidst large blooming lotus flowers and various aquatic plants, the vivid scene decorated with floating butterflies, the neck surrounded by wavy crests, the rounded shoulder with large peony and lotus flowers supported by a continuous leaf scroll, all above stylised upright petals, wide foot ring and recessed base.
