Both standing in samabhanga on a lotus base, the youthful Ananda with both hands in anjalimudra, wearing monastic garment including underskirt falling over his shoes, wide-sleeved mantle draped over both shoulders secured through a ring at his left shoulder, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows running into the nose-bridge, raised urna at his forehead, elongated earlobes and bald head; and the elder Kasyapa showing both hands clasped in front of his chest, similarly clad, his face displaying a severe expression with downcast eyes below raised bushy eyebrows, wrinkled forehead, elongated earlobes and bald head.
