China, 17th c.H. 38 cm
Seated in vajrasana on an oval plinth with his right hand stretched forward while the left is showing the vitarkamudra, wearing monastic garment including an underskirt fastened around the waist with a ribbon knotted to the front, a wide-sleeved mantle draped over both shoulders and falling down his body in large folds, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows running into the nose-bridge, smiling lips, elongated earlobes, blue coloured curled hairdo continuing into the ushnisha and set to the front with a ratna.
