Eight-ray star-shaped, silver part-gilt and enamelled. The separately applied obverse centre presenting enamelled grain stocks in yellow, green and red on a white background, with centre and surround red cabochons. Reserve centre in a raised rectangular cartouche a six-part inscription in Chinese script: 寶光嘉禾勛章 'Baoguang Jiahe Xunzhang' (Order of the Precious Brilliant Golden Grain). Medal (approx. 91.3 g) with carrying rings, partly enamelled, breast star (approx. 142.7 g) with pin and two side hooks on the back. Original sash in red and gold colors. A brocade-covered box inscribed in gold.
Formerly from a German private collection, acquired before 2007 - Slight signs of age and wear, minor damaged, small cabochons partly lost, the medallion plaque of the breast star loose
The Order of the Precious Brilliant Golden Grain (寶光嘉禾勛章) was an award by the Li Yuanhong government during the Beiyang government in the fifth year of the Republic of China (1916) and had five classes (divided into six grads)
