Description:
Tibet, the figure ca. 19th c. or earlier., the base laterH. 24 (28) cm
Standing in pratyalidhasana on a separate cast lotus base, trampling various divinities and animals, his principle hands holding karttrika and kapala, the other arms radiating around his body, naked apart from an apron, bejewelled, his head consisting of nine cold-gilded faces including the central bull-shaped one, all displaying wrathful expressions, the bull face with bulging eyes below raised eyebrows, snout, open mouth showing teeth and fangs, resealed.
From an old and important German private collection, collected between 1950 and 1987, collection number C 56
