Tibet, 18th c.

Seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with his right hand raised in the abhayamudra while the left is resting on his lap, wearing monastic garment showing a small section draped over his left shoulder in the shape of a swallow’s tail, his cold-gilded face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, smiling lips, elongated earlobes, his blue coloured hairdo continuing into the ushnisha and topped with a lotus bud, partly sealed.
