Nord-West-Indien, 17. Jh.H. 23,5 cm
The throne is cast with a central Jain tirthankara seated with legs crossed on a cushion placed on a pedestal, both hands in dhyanamudra, naked, his chest set with the srivatsa emblem, his face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes, parasol above and surrounded by many tirthankara’s, attendants and worshippers, the reverse with lengthy inscription.
From an old German private collection, collected between 1950 and 1987, collection number BI 17 - Minor age damage.
