Description:
South-India, Nayak period, ca. 17th c.H. 16,5 cm
Standing in slight tribhanga on a lotus base set on a square plinth with her right arm stretched along her body while the left is holding the lotus, wearing sari secured around the middle with a belt, a pair of sashes hanging to both sides of her legs, udarabandha, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes below arched eyebrows, elongated earlobes with ear ornaments and her head topped with the kiritamakuta.
