Description:

China, Qianlong to Jiaqing period
ca. 140 x 70 cm, R.
Ink and colors on silk, framed and glazed. A pair of long-tailed birds on a blooming magnolia branch at a peonies bush on a taihu rock. Lower left a poem inscription and signed: "painted on a summer day in the yihai year [1755 or 1815] in the Weiyu House of the Xiyi Garden", "Boya zhi Jie" (nephew of Boya, Jie). Three seals: "Feng Jiehe yin", "Boya", "Ke tou ji ju changsong xia".
