Description:
Tibet, ca. 17th c.B. 16,3, H. 9 cm
A dragon holding jewels in its claws, opposite a garuda with a snake in its beak and claws, are formed out of the surface of the stand. Between them are bars decorated with flowers, and two stylised blossoms. The entire surface is covered with floral vine motifs. A bead-like ring with ornaments rises in the centre and encloses the protruding rim. The conically shaped foot is designed with two medallions showing two blossoms and is also decorated with tendril motifs. An ornamented band forms the finial at the bottom. Iron, chased and engraved, oval, with curved rim.
