Description:
China, 18th c.L. 18,2/ 19 cm
Both similarly modeled with a lean body and knobby backbone, pointed face and floppy ears, their long curled tails resting on their left rear haunch, one covered in a grayish-blue glaze merging to yellowish-green at the edges and painted with brown streaks to represent hair, the other covered in a mottled aubergine-brown glaze also with finely painted brown lines, to indicate hair.
