Valuable and fragile bowls made of jade or porcelain are protected in such containers for transport. The bowl has surrounding motifs of dragons. The lid and base are each decorated with triple swirls (three jewels), framed by surrounding meandering bands. There are two eyelets for carrying straps on the body. Bronze, chased, in two parts, connected with hinges.
