The central depiction, surrounded by an arched aureole, shows the Bon patriarch Khung bo tshul khrams 'od zer - Honour to Tsültram Özer. He is dressed in the Lama robe and wears the traditional hat of the Bon school. Tsültram Özer sits on a lotus above an altar table, in the niches of which are various symbolic animals. The high lama is accompanied by other patriarchs on his left and right: their inscriptions read, from top to bottom:
1. left: gays...shes rab rgyal ne la na mo - Glory to the Gyas...Sherab Gyall
2. left: skum dun gyung rgyal ma la na mo - Glory to the Kum Dunjung Gyalma
3. left: yang ltar ma(?) rgyal po la na mo - Glory to the Yangtar ma(?) Gyalpo
1. right: ''o stan tshe la na mo - Glory to 'O Tantse
2. right: spa stan pa 'od zer la na mo - Honour to the Tenpa Özer
3. right: dpon pa ren rgyal la na mo - Honour to Bon po Regyar.
To the left and right of the altar, two disciples in monk's clothing crouch. At the bottom of the painting two protective deities are riding their animals, bull and horse (?). In the centre a bowl with offerings in honour of the patriarchs is set up, probably offered by the donor to the left. Between the clouds at the upper edge of the picture Sherap appears in the centre, on the left a deity of green colour, and on the right the powerful, many-headed and many-armed tutelary deity of the Bon po - Me-ri. Tempera on cotton fabric; original border.
