Tibeto-Chinese, early 20th c.60,5 x 42 cm
The centre with the teacher seated on a throne with his right hand holding a fly-whisk while the left is supporting an alms-bowl, wearing various garments including a wide-sleeved mantle, his youthful face displaying a serene expression, translucent halo behind his head, the scene is placed under trees, flanked by two attendants, a pair of deer, all placed in a mountainous landscape and the upper section with Buddha Shakyamuni placed on clouds.
