Description:
China or Korea, ca. 17th c.32,5 x 93 x 51 cm
Kang table with brown-black lacquer and mother-of-pearl inlays. The rectangular top rests on a high waist pierced with ruyi head openings, the short, curved legs end on a ground stretch and are connected by a curved apron with a beaded edge. Scholars and their attendants are depicted next to pine trees and rocks in front of a palace complex.
Collection of the Würzburg painter, Joachim Schlotterbeck (1926 - 2007), acquired from him by the present owner in 1997
