The head of Buddha Shakyamuni is carved with a serene facial expression showing incised downcast eyes below black painted arched eyebrows running into the nose bridge, red coloured well-defined smiling lips, slightly puffy cheeks, elongated earlobes, spiky curled hairdo set with a red coloured ratna to the front, small section of his neck and covered shoulders present, the reverse of neck with hole for attachment and with red painted inventory number 57.18:1
German private collection, assembled before 1990 by repute- Traces of age, the tip of the nose and the hair curls partly restored
