The rectangular cover carved in deep relief with a central cartouche showing Manjuvajra in the centre seated in vajrasana on a lotus base placed on an elaborate throne, his principle hands resting in dhyanamudra on his lap while both secondary ones holding vajra and manuscript, flanked to each side by Buddha Shakyamuni seated on an elaborate throne, each with the right hand in bhumisparshamudra, all surrounded by different minute carved divinities encompassed by scrolling tendrils, set within a double petal border, the reverse deprived of any decoration and one side showing the letter ‘ka’, traces of gilding.
