Description:
Tibet, 19th c.H. 25,8/ 26 cm
Each standing in slight samabhanga on a lotus base, Padmapani holding in his right hand the lotus while the left is lowered in varadamudra, Vajarapani holding the stem of a lotus flowering along his upper shoulder supporting the vajra emblem, his right lowered in varadamudra, both wearing dhoti, scarf draped around his shoulders, bejewelled, the first displaying a serene expression while Vajrapani showing a fierce expression, each cold-gilded and painted with facial details, elongated earlobes set with beads, the blue coloured hairdo combed in a chignon secured with a tiara and behind each a halo embossed with ajour scrolling tendrils, sealed.
