Description:
Northwest India, 16th c.H. 17,5 cm
The shrine cast with a central placed Jain tirthankara seated in vajrasana on a cushion placed on a throne with a pair of roaring lions to its front, both hands resting on his lap in dhyanamudra, naked, srivatsa emblem on his chest, his face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes, a parasol above flanked by a pair of elephants, surrounded by other tirthankaras, worshippers and probably the donors at the lower throne register, the reverse with lengthy inscription.
