Wood with lacquer painting. Originally, the tapered wooden 'kero' cups were mainly carved geometrically. Later, coloured inlays became popular as well as figural scenes like the pieces on offer here. The 'kero' were mainly used for drinking 'chicha', a type of malt beer.
