Ink and colours on paper, mounted as hanging scroll, framed under glass. The lantern labelled: jōtōmyō (continuously burning light (e.g. at a Buddhist altar)). Signed on the base. Toyokuni ga (painted by Toyokuni)
Inscription on the right: a pair of copper/bronze lanterns is dedicated to Naritasan-fudoson Temple. Inscription on the left about the dimensions of the lantern.
From a Franconian private collection, collected between 1960 and 1990 - Traces of age, wear, very mimor damages and rest.
