The hexagonal body rests on three elogated feet monunted on a base with rounded corners. Elongated handles on each sides flanking the lid, which is surmounted by the figure of a seated Rakan. The front is decorated with a relief of two chidori amidst various flowers and grasses, while the back shows a pair of cranes on a rock with bamboo and another crane in flight. Copper-red patinated bronze, details inlaid with silver, copper, gold and shakudo. Signed reserve inlaid on the side.
