Japan, Meiji periodH. 19,5 cm
Of iron, lozenge-shaped with two curved handles on the shoulder. Excellent all-round decoration of grasses, flowers, herons and quails in iroe-takazogan with gold, silver, shakudo and shibuichi. The lid is crowned by a sculpted monkey as a handle, the rims fire-gilt.
