The bestial winged creature modelled seated on its haunches on a lobed plinth, the unglazed and painted humanoid bearded head crowned with a tall twisted horn flanked by large flaring ears above the bulging eyes and pronounced nose, the body and base covered in amber, green and cream splashes.
From the collection of Dr Herbert J. Exner (1928-2023), collected from the 1960s to the mid-1990s, this figure was acquired at Nagel, 4.4.1992, lot 1 - Minor rest.
