Description:
China, late Ming dynastyH. 60,5 cm
Seated in rajalilasana on a lotus base placed on a caparisoned feline, his head turned towards the figure, trotting over a base cast with various plants and animals to its front, both hands holding the stems of lotuses flowering along his upper arms supporting a flask and a bird, wearing dhoti, scarf draped around his shoulders with the streamers encircling the arms and its finials falling down on the animal, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows and his hair combed in a chignon secured with an elaborate tiara, traces of pigments.
