China, late Ming dynastyH. 31,5 cm
Seated in vajrasana with the right hand showing the vitarkamudra while the left is resting on his lap supporting the flaming jewel, wearing various garments including an underskirt fastened around the waist with a ribbon, a wide-sleeved mantle covering both shoulders, its border cast with scrolling tendrils, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows that run into the nose-bridge, smiling lips, elongated earlobes with ear ornaments, his hair combed in a chignon and secured with a crown set to the front with an oblong ornament consisting of various jewels.
